Bye bye Berlin, 2011. Berlin

"Have you ever thought about what could happen if the immigrants, fed up with the lack of appreciation they have received, would decide to go back to their homeland? While populist political parties attack them to improve their chances in elections, they have decided to leave Berlin."

Daily letters, 2011.Madrid

Premiada con Madrid Procesos 2011/awarded the price Madrid Procesos 2011 Madrid, 19th to 26th of July.

Offering free paper, free envelops, free stamps and the chance to serve as a scribe for the passerbys, daily services worked for a week in Madrid writting letters in the streets. The project tried for a week to revitalize the practice of handwriting almost extinguished after the arrival of new technologies.

Proyect Jaume Sabartes, 2005. Barceelona

This piece was born from my encounter with this public space (Plaza Jaume Sabartes) that was close to my house and it was a strange and ackward space. After some research we discovered that the Picasso Museum expropiated the area to extend the museum. That has happenned in 1996 and at this moment in time (2005) nothning was done, people lost their houses and the space was a wasted area in downtown Barcelona.

The project presented at the II Games of Ephimeral arts in Barcelona gave the neighbours and option to present their thoughts and ideas about this space. The results were sent to the local goverment for consideration.

Talking to my mother, 2004. Serbia.

This is probably my first oficial public intervention where I tried to get to the street the installation done for the Yugoslavian Biennial 2004. I wanted to convey my primal idea about What unifies different cultures using their oral tradition. The first project took place in Toronto as an installation of drawings based of my exploration of Chinese, Spanish and English proverbs. As a result of that work I was invited to present the work in the biennial using the proverbs common to serbians, croatians and kosovars.

Exchanging my drawings with people in the streets of Belgrade for a proverb.
